Are deceased loved ones always with us?
In Inventing Character, two strangers discover that together they hold the key to saving the life of a poverty-stricken girl.
Jack Parker, a renowned cardiologist, thought he had all he ever wanted: cars, homes, and a beautiful girlfriend. But when a fatal diagnosis revives painful childhood memories, he realizes his life had been meaningless despite great material wealth. In his tortured sleep, dreams become increasingly intense as death nears. Sleep terrifies him, until one night he dreams of a teenaged boy. Amy Bennett lost her son tragically and has given up on life. She blames her husband for her son’s death and cannot heal. Feeling as though she will never recover from his death, she reacts to the world that she can no longer trust by drinking too much and pushing everyone away. This changes when she encounters a strange man who claims to know things about her son. Reluctant at first, she ultimately connects with this man after encouragement from her sister. A long journey into her intuition follows and she discovers that her son’s death might not have been in vain..
